Elsie Jean-Thomas

FACILITATOR

Elsie (she/her) was born and raised on sacred and unceded Boonwurrung country, but now lives, works and practices on Woiworung country, where she continues to explore what it means to connect to Country as a descendant of English and Scottish settlers.

Having trained in creative writing, media, broadcast, yoga and trauma-informed facilitation, Elsie is now an Embodiment Facilitator and Communications Coordinator within Collective Being. She enjoys how both of these roles influence and inform the other; believing that embodiment and words have the capacity to shift how we view ourselves, the world around us and the possibilities between them. They are both where joy, tenderness and transformation meet.

In being a part of Collective Being, Elsie has consciously questioned, unraveled and woven back together, ways of doing and being within herself, and recognises that this is a lifeling practice. She is continuously inspired and made hopeful by the deep passion, thoughtfulness, and bravery of her fellow team members and program participants.
