Stretch and Release is an Accessible and Adaptive Yoga Program guided by collective being Facilitator, Anu (they/them).
Accessible & Adaptive Yoga aims to cultivate a safer relationship to your body in an appropriate way for people living with mobility limitations, chronic illness, disabilities and mental health conditions. Sessions encourage and guide personal adaptations of yoga and mindfulness practices and celebrate individual choice making.
About Your Facilitator
Anu (they/them) is originally from the North of England and now lives on unceded Wurundjeri country. They are dedicated to decolonising the experience of yoga, as an extension of their personal process of decolonising their ways of thought and being. Their training includes a 1000 hour diploma in yoga teacher training, and the Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) training. They have additional training in yin, children's yoga, and trauma-informed practices, with an emphasis on the often long, and non-linear journey back to the body after trauma. Anu has facilitated, and has a special interest in activist wellbeing, as well as facilitating yoga with the Queer and Trans communities, older adults and refugee and migrant communities.
