In our newest public offering, ‘Practitioner Care: Workshop Series’, key themes, including burnout, resilience, boundaries, self-awareness and community care are explored with facilitator jo buick (she/her).
The aim of this series is to create a welcoming and safe space for practitioners from diverse occupations to cultivate skills and share in experiences that have the potential to shift workplace cultures from sites of burnout, towards sites of nurturance and care.
Each workshop provides an opportunity to learn, to practice, and to be in conversation and reflection with peers.
Over four separate workshops you will explore somatic and embodiment skills such as compassionate awareness, mindfulness, regulation and resourcing. While each workshop builds upon the previous one as part of a comprehensive series, you are welcome to drop-in casually to any.
The four workshops that make up this series are:
Monday 11th April: Workshop 1: Introduction to Somatics as Embodied Care
Monday 23rd May: Workshop 2: Regulation and Resourcing for Difficult Times
Monday 20th June: Workshop 3: The Neurobiology of Resilience
Monday 18th July: Workshop 4: Boundaries and Relational Integrity
Workshop 4: Boundaries and Relational Integrity
In this workshop, participants will explore the notion of ‘boundaries’ from a somatic perspective, specifically focusing on how we embody boundaries in our bodies, language, patterns and ways of being.
Workshop 4 focuses on the potential each of us has to experience coherence and integrity in our personal and professional boundaries. This session includes optional somatic practices, group discussions and reflective time.
The workshop includes time for tea breaks, movement and integration.
