SOLD OUT: August Trauma Sensitive Yoga Program

Note: This Program has now sold out. You are welcome to complete the Registration Form and we will keep you updated with new program dates and times.

Our Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TSY) Program supports those who have survived trauma and are seeking yoga practices as an adjunctive to clinical or therapeutic treatment. Utilising the empirically-validated Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) method, our TSY program is delivered online and in-person.

What is Trauma-Sensitive Yoga?

Utilising the empirically validated Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) methodology, collective being’s Trauma-Sensitive Group Yoga Program is delivered over 10 weeks (in-person or online). In addition to the TCTSY methodology, the program integrates evidence-based, trauma-informed somatics and mindfulness practices that support wellbeing, stress relief and ease. Participants receive additional support through pre-recorded video content and a printed handbook of yoga and somatic resources to use at home.

Our Approach to TSY

Our approach to program design and facilitation is strengths-based, trauma-informed, mental health aware and gender and culture responsive. The structure and content of our programs is informed by research and education regarding the intersection between these frameworks and somatic, mindfulness and yoga-based practices. We are a proudly LGBTQIA+ affirming organisation and our sessions are inclusive of all bodies and all needs.

About Your Facilitator

Isy (she/her) was born on sacred and unceded Boonwurrung country and now lives on Woiworung country. She is a practicing artist, advocate for social justice, and senior facilitator of somatics, meditation and yoga. Isy is also currently studying her Masters of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Through her work, Isy enjoys exploring embodiment and the ways in which mindfulness and movement practices can cultivate connection, compassion, exploration and ease. She is passionate about the therapeutic potential of somatic practices for regulation, embodied curiosity and supported integration.

As a queer woman with lived experiences of mental ill-health and trauma, Isy is a passionate advocate for inclusivity and accessibility in communities.
