Stress and burnout are health conditions that impact many of us at various points in our lives. Join our Director jo, for a tender exploration of burnout from a neurophysiological and somatic perspective.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is for anyone who is experiencing, has experienced, or feels at risk of experiencing burnout, chronic stress or anxiety as a result of environmental, personal or workplace stressors.
This workshop is also useful professional development for managers, supervisors and carers.
What will the workshop cover?
In this two hour workshop, we will:
Review and reframe common terms and themes, including burnout, compassion fatigue and self-care;
Discuss the neurophysiology and the science of stress and stress relief;
Learn frameworks for maintaining boundaries and sustaining self-care in complex settings;
Learn mindfulness and embodied practices for tough days and tough moments; and
Share take-home mapping and planning tools for resourcing, care and stress relief.
Participants will also receive a detailed handout and a PDF version of the slides used in the workshop.
Will the session be recorded?
Yes, the session will be recorded for those who are unable to make the live workshop. A link with the video recording will be shared within 24 hours of the workshop completing.
How do I join the online workshop?
The workshop will be delivered via Zoom. You will receive a registration link and passcode from us 24 hours before the workshop is scheduled that will enable you to join the workshop on the day.
What should I wear to the session?
Please wear comfortable clothing that you can gently move in. A range of somatic and mindfulness practices will be shared, as well as guided options for exploration. Participation in all somatic practices will be voluntary. We encourage participants to make choices that best support their own individual experiences.
How much does the session cost?
$56 Full / $46 Concession.
